Our Story...
We must sit back and wonder how in today's day and age we are not more progressive in our approach to animal rescue and suffering. Shelters should be a temporary haven for homeless animals and NOT A PLACE TO DUMP UNWANTED PUPPIES AND KITTENS AND BACKYARD BREEDERS' REJECTS. Overpopulation and euthanasia have become the norm and is unacceptable in today's day and age. We CAN get to the root of the problem through a unitifed SPAY & NEUTER program as well as through enriched sheltering and education.
WHAT IF WE THOUGHT, CREATED AND ACTED DIFFERENTLY?
Imagine programs around the nation (and hopefully, the world) where dog and cat overpopulation were strategically and humanely managed, and backyard breeders, cruelty and fighting were outlawed once and for all! Imagine a world where animal shelters could be a place of joy, calm, community, learning, training, revenue, and progressive thinking.
WE DO. AND WE ARE HERE TO HELP THE CARTERET COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY AND THE OUTERBANKS WILDLIFE SHELTER RAISE THE FUNDS NECESSARY TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.
